INSTANT IRON BOOSTER TRAIL MIX

Let’s face it, if you are not eating much meat then you could become low in iron so have your iron levels checked regularly. 

1/2 cup dried apricots (diced)

1/2 cup pepitas (pumpkin seeds)

1/2 cup nuts (any kind will do but walnuts are extermely good for you)

1/2 cup pitted dates (diced)

1/2 cup chopped dark chocoate  – yes it has iron in it!

1/2 cup pine nuts

METHOD

1.  Mix together and keep in a lidded jar.

Serve on the top of  porridge and cereal or keep for generalized snacking.
