FORTNIGHT 4 – $55 MENU

This meal plan is for all those singles who like to make up several meals at once and eat them during the week.   Generally I am not in this group,  however it is sweltering here at present and it is great to be able to escape the heat of the kitchen.

There is however still plenty of heat in the meals.  The Piri Piri chicken can be very hot so modify the amount of chilli to suit your taste.  While on the subject of heat, please be aware of safety in the kitchen and make sure you have a good set of oven mitts to take things out of the oven, especially the Yorkshire Puffs.

Unfortunately I have over-exceeded the $55 limit by about $1.70 this fortnight.   This seems to be because of the high price of oranges in this neck of the woods.  I would like to hear from you if you are having difficulty getting the meal plans in under the $55 mark.

WEEK ONE

Do Ahead Tips

Make the Gado Gado on the Sunday to have it ready to take to work on Monday.   Make the Tortillas on the weekend as well.  The Caramelized Onion Pizza can be made in Week One and kept in the freezer until required.

WEEK ONE

Breakfast 

Monday to Friday: Porridge with Brown Sugar and Milk; Saturday and Sunday:  Apple Cinnamon Muffins.

Lunches

Tortillas (make up 1/2 the mix) with Gado Gado Salad, Apples, Oranges, Japanese Pancakes

Dinners

Monday:  Gado Gado

Tuesday: Japanese Pancakes

Wednesday:  Gado Gado

Thursday:  Pasta Piquant

Friday:  Japanese Pancakes

Saturday: Baby Spinach,  Feta and Caramelized Onion Pizza with  Fresh Carrot Salad

Sunday:  Japanese Pancakes with Steamed Green Beans

Snacks

Carrot sticks and Peanut Butter

WEEK TWO 

Do Ahead Tips

  Make the Piri Piri Chicken on the weekend.

Breakfast

  Monday to Friday Porridge with Brown Sugar and Milk; Saturday and Sunday Apple Cinnamon Pancakes.

Lunches

Japanese Pancakes, Apple Cinnamon Muffins,  Pasta Salad.

Dinners

Monday:  Piri Piri Chicken with Rice

Tuesday: Pasta Salad

Wednesday:  Baby Spinach, Feta and Caramelized Onion Pizza

Thursday:  Piri Piri Chicken and Pasta Salad

Friday:  Pasta Salad

Saturday:  Yorkshire Puffs with Carrot Salad

Sunday: Baby Spinach, Feta and  Caramelized Onion Pizza
